The Grow-Lean Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) builds on the CSPO. If you are an experienced
PO, the A-CSPO will help you grow your ability to establish an actionable vision,
validate and invalidate hypotheses, focus on outcomes over outputs, and deliver more value.
The session is interactive, experiential, disciplined, and does not use slides. Instead, we explore topics through interactive exercises that drive deep discussions and you leave ready to implement techniques the next day.

Refund Policies
What happens if you can't attend
We try to avoid cancellations and expect you to be similarly respectful; so there are fees associated with cancellations to cover a portion of costs we incur, including credit card processing.
Grow-Lean has established policies around situations where you as an attendee, or Grow-Lean as a host, must cancel or reschedule. Grow-Lean's policies are significantly more consumer-friendly than most other training providers. We do this because we realize that unforeseen things happen, but we ask that you be thoughtful about canceling late so we can continue to put our customers first.

Cancellations
Cancellation requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee.
Cancellation requests received fifteen (15) to eight (8) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee and a $125 late cancellation fee.
Cancellation requests received seven (7) or less days prior to the event will receive a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid that can be applied to any future event that the registrant will take in the next twelve months.
Reschedule Requests
Reschedule requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will have no fees for the first request. Additional reschedule requests will be subject to a $125 transfer fee.

Grow-Lean Reschedule Events
We try to avoid rescheduling. If Grow-Lean needs to reschedule, all registrants will promptly receive a 100% refund. Registrants may decide to be transferred into the rescheduled event, or another upcoming event, instead of the refund if they desire.

For example, if your final fee is $1,000 and you chose 10 installments:
- You would pay $100 today and have a $900 hold placed on your credit card.
- The following month your credit card would be charged another $100 and the hold would be reduced to $800.
- Each month you pay $100 and each month the hold is reduced by $100.
If you are not familiar with the term "hold" this is similar to what hotels do when you check in, to cover extra expenses you may incur including the mini bar.
The benefit to you is that you do not pay any interest or fees if all payments are on time.

Preparation for Session
Maximize learning by preparing your technology for the session
We use common tools for our virtual sessions. Please read on to confirm what you need for the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner session.
- Internet connected Computer / Tablet: Many students use a single device for the session, others use two devices, perhaps their work laptop for the webcam and a separate device for sharing.
- Working Webcam: Virtually all laptop have integrated webcams. If you don't have that, we will assist you in setting up your phone as a webcam.
- Working headset or speaker plus microphone: Depending on your laptop, the built-in microphone and speaker may be sufficient. Many use earphones.

- After the class we provide you an electronic copy of the completed Mural Board which captures your classroom experience.
- Access to Google Drive: The sign-in is a Google Sheet. If you are using a work computer you may be able to enter, but not modify the Google Sheet. If this is the case you can use another device to enter your information. If you can't, no worries, the Google Sheet is not a key to the class.
- Getting into the Session: The Zoom information will be provided no later than 48 hours prior to the session. You will be able to join the session up to 30 minutes early to check your technology.

Earning Your Certification
The Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO)
At present there is no examination required to achieve the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) Certification. Taking the session earns your A-CSPO if you meet the requirements outlined below.
- Attend at least 14 hours of class time.
- Have a Scrum Alliance® CSPO Certification.
- Can validate at least 12 months in the role of a Product Owner, or PO Coach over the last five years.
The advanced certification will differentiate you, but more importantly the deep learning will allow you to interview with confidence and apply advanced techniques in the work place.
The A-CSPO also allows you to pursue Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) certification, which completes the Path to CSP.

The Product Owner role is both the most difficult and most poorly understood in the annals of agility, but there are plenty of tried-and-true ways to deal with the difficulties that you face. This is a trick question. They’re all important, but for different reasons, and require different information to order properly. How do you deal with unplanned mid-Sprint changes?
We’ll practice several techniques from the lean and product management communities for dealing fluidly and systematically with emergency and unplanned work. We’ll also help you prepare for fixed date deliveries, ensure the team has appropriate time to deal with technical debt and process improvements, and show how to avoid both over- and under-committing within the sprint.
