The Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM) is for you if you have your CSM
and want to expedite the journey to greater agility on the Scrum Alliance Path to CSP. Unlike many, with our A-CSM
you learn with a group of peers in a live session.
The CSM introduced the basics, now go deeper into scaling, empiricism, coaching, soft-skills, root cause analysis, XP Engineering, and Kanban .
Your trainer has over 20 years agile experience so your challenges and opportunities are reviewed in a profound, but practical, way. This is in sharp contrast to superficial concepts delivered by inexperienced agile trainers.
After the session we register you with the Scrum Alliance. If you have more a year of agile work experience, have the CSM Cert, and complete this session, you achieve the A-CSM designation, and are one step away from CSP-SM.

We try to avoid cancellations and expect you to be similarly respectful; so there are fees associated with cancellations to cover a portion of costs we incur, including credit card processing.

Cancellations
Cancellation requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee.
Cancellation requests received fifteen (15) to eight (8) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee and a $125 late cancellation fee.
Cancellation requests received seven (7) or less days prior to the event will receive a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid that can be applied to any future event that the registrant will take in the next twelve months.

In the event where the original listed trainer cannot deliver the course, Grow-Lean reserves the right to substitute a trainer. This is a rare occurrence, but this policy allows Grow-Lean to deliver a course while minimizing the student impact. Trainers provided in this event will have met Grow-Lean's high quality standards to ensure registrants receive valuable training.

David Bulkin is a managing director and head of training services at Grow-Lean. He assists teams as a coach / mentor; delivers training, and builds product. He has trained 20,000 students, and impacted thousands via public speaking and coaching. Unlike many trainer/coaches, he continues to build systems.
David delivers training, including the CSM, A-CSM, CSPO and A-CSPO courses; and has trained over 20,000 students with over 10,000 of them being with the Scrum Alliance.

He does all of this while actively building software, filling various roles at different times, including designing, coding, testing, PO and Scrum Master (think about that, someone who does what they teach).

Camera Use Policy
You agree to have a functioning camera, which may be on a secondary device (like a phone) on, and facing yourself for the majority of the training. You may turn your camera off for short periods when needed (like when eating).
If your camera is not functioning, or your bandwidth becomes too limited to support video, you will inform the trainer and participate actively to ensure you stay engaged in the session.
If there is a specific reason why you cannot be on camera, contact Grow-Lean LLC prior to the event so that we can make an exception.
Picture Taking
Grow-Lean will sometimes take pictures or videos during the session. Attendees will be notified in advance. If you do not want to be included in a picture or a video, you may turn your camera off during those times. By keeping your camera on, you acknowledge that your image, or edits thereof, may be used for promotion or other purposes. Grow-Lean will try to ensure that those in a video are presented in a professional fashion.
You may not take pictures of any students in the session without the express consent of all attendees and understand that doing so may be a criminal offense depending on the locations where attendees are participating from.
Student Accountability for Training Outcomes
You may use the Contact Us form at https://www.grow-lean.com/ContactUs, or inform the trainer, or both if you believe that there is anything in the training that is preventing you from having a high quality learning experience.
You authorize Grow-Lean to share your name and email with the certifying body, which, depending on the session, is typically the Scrum Alliance, Scaled Agile or IC Agile.

If you have a Visa or Mastercard credit card you can pay in up to 12 monthly installments. There are no fees or interest if you pay on time! Your available credit must be enough to cover the full cost and there is a hold on your credit card for the amount that you have not paid.
For example, if your final fee is $1,000 and you chose 10 installments:
- You would pay $100 today and have a $900 hold placed on your credit card.
- The following month your credit card would be charged another $100 and the hold would be reduced to $800.
- Each month you pay $100 and each month the hold is reduced by $100.
If you are not familiar with the term "hold" this is similar to what hotels do when you check in, to cover extra expenses you may incur including the mini bar.

We use common tools for our virtual sessions. Please read on to confirm what you need for the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster session.
- Internet connected Computer / Tablet: Many students use a single device for the session, others use two devices, perhaps their work laptop for the webcam and a separate device for sharing.
- Working Webcam: Virtually all laptop have integrated webcams. If you don't have that, we will assist you in setting up your phone as a webcam.
- Working headset or speaker plus microphone: Depending on your laptop, the built-in microphone and speaker may be sufficient. Many use earphones.

David is highly knowledgeable and extremely personable. He easily kept the entire class engaged the entire 16-hour session by making everyone feel included. David also made the material easily digestible by presenting a fantastic breakdown of the information along with relevant real-life examples and experiences. I was not initially excited about taking this class since it was a weekend session. Also, the class happened to fall on the same week that I moved into my new home. However, the time flew by extremely fast. During the time I was in attendance for David's class, I did not think about the many boxes that were sitting around my new home waiting to be unpacked. That says a lot about David and his teaching style. I never actually saw David take a break during the class sessions. The students recognized David as an expert in his field and used their breaks to seek advice or gain more golden nuggets of wisdom from him. I really appreciated David's teaching method/format for the virtual classroom and it worked for me. I'm a full time teleworker so while I was looking forward to the in-person training, the virtual classroom was not much of a stretch. I still got to meet different people and our breakout sessions into smaller groups let me get to know them a little bit better too. I must admit that it felt like there was definitely a lot more that we could have covered but then preparing for a virtual classroom on the eleventh hour was not something that David expected. He made it work though. In my opinion, he covered what was really important and that is, what the Scrum framework is all about, how to apply it to your own work and give you the foundations to be prepared for the exam. I didn't expect to know everything after leaving his class and that's okay. It gave me enough to be able to apply some things at work with what I learned in class. Oh, one more thing, the fact that the CEO of the Scrum Alliance checked-in to see how class was going shows the care and commitment of this company.
