The Scrum Alliance Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM) is for individuals with agile experience, who have their Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification, that want to expedite their journey to greater agility on the Scrum Alliance Path to CSP.
Via the CSM you were introduced to Scrum values, roles, ceremonies and artifacts. Through your life and work experience you have learned that implementing agile can be challenging. We go deeper into agile at scale, empiricism, coaching, soft-skills, XP Engineering, and Kanban.
After the session you will be registered with the Scrum Alliance. If you have more than a year of agile work experience, have the CSM Certification, and complete this session, you will achieve the A-CSM designation, and be one step away from CSP-SM.

Refund Policies
Understand What Happens if You Can't Attend
We try to avoid cancellations, and do not cancel late due to low enrollments. If we do, we give you a discount. We expect you to be similarly respectful; so there are fees associated with cancellations to cover a portion of costs we incur, including credit card processing and catering fees.

Refund Policies
Grow-Lean commits to canceling classes as a last resort and we expect a similar commitment from attendees
There may be situations where you as an attendee, or Grow-Lean as a host, has to cancel. We realize that you made a commitment when you registered so we try to avoid cancellations. If we cancel less than sixteen (16) days prior to the scheduled event start date, due to low enrollment, and you wish to come to another of our events, we provide you a $150 discount.
Please review the information below to familiarize yourself with the policies.
A refund, minus a 5% credit card processing fee, will apply for all refunds irrespective of when a request is made.
An additional $75 charge will apply for a cancellation or class change that Grow-Lean receives seven (7) to fifteen (15) days prior to the scheduled event.
No refunds will be issued for a cancellation or class change that Grow-Lean receives less than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event start date. However, we will credit the amount paid toward a future event (reducing the cost for the future event) in the next six months. Attending a future event will incur a $150 transfer fee.

Grow-Lean reserves the right to cancel an event. Class cancellation notice will be provided via email and/or phone call, and a full refund will be issued promptly.

David Bulkin is a managing director and head of training services at Grow-Lean. He delivers agile/lean training and consulting to individuals, teams and organizations.
David serves a catalyst to expedite the journey from plan driven to adaptive methods. David is known for practicality and achieving results. He helps individuals grow their careers while leading organizations on the path to higher ROI.
David has 35 years experience delivering software and systems and has been applying agile methods for 18 years across the entire value stream from strategy and product ideation to development and support. As a hands-on practitioner David has had many roles including Project Manager, Developer, Tester, Business Analyst, Product Manager and ScrumMaster.
As a coach and consultant David helps organizations adopt and expand their use of agile by working with change agents, teams, PMOs, managers and executives. As a speaker David regularly presents at the two major agile conferences, the Scrum Gathering and Agile 20xx, as well as at regional events. David is active in the agile communities including Scrum, Extreme Programming, Lean, Kanban, and SAFe.
David has provided thought leadership in areas such as applying progressive elaboration to agile requirements, integrating engineering principles into development teams, and applying agile to marketing, sales, finance, and other areas outside of IT. He was an independent reviewer of the PMI-ACP body of knowledge that fed the creation of the PMI-ACP Exam and has worked on the exam questions for the Certified ScrumMaster Exam.

You are a Certified Scrum Master® (CSM), from the Scrum Alliance, and you have real world experience applying agile.You want to take it to the next step, take the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster.
Via the CSM you were introduced to Scrum values, roles, ceremonies and artifacts. Through your life and work experience you have learned that making agile work effectively is not easy. This session will expedite your journey to true agility.
We briefly review the basics, then go deeper into agile at scale, empiricism, coaching (active listening, facilitating, powerful questions, handling impediments, root cause analysis, open space, introspection), Extreme Programming (XP) Engineering while also exploring the Product Owner role in detail so you can better support them.
After the session you will be registered with the Scrum Alliance. You will need to enter information about your work experience. If you have more than one year of agile work experience, have the CSM Certification, and complete this session, you will achieve the A-CSM designation, and be one step away from CSP-SM.
If you are coming up on your two year renewal from your CSM, you will also save yourself a $100 renewal fee and accrue 14 to 16 of the SEUs you need to keep your certifications active.

A-CSM Certification
Get recognized as an A-CSM and advance towards CSP-SM
The A-CSM is a step on the path to great agility and towards the Certified Scrum Professional Scrum Master (CSP-SM). There is no test for this class, but you do have to have a year of agile work experience and you must hold the Certified Scrum Master (CSM)® certification.
If you meet the criteria above and participate actively in the session, missing no more than 30 minutes of class time, you will become a A-CSM after the session.

What are the prerequisites for attending?
Anyone with agile experience can attend, but in order to progress towards the Certified Scrum Professional-Scrum Master (CSP-SM) you must have the CSM Certification and have one year of agile experience. -
Is there pre-work for the session?
This is an advanced session, so there is pre-work. We recognize that not everyone will have time for the pre-work but we also recognize that if you do, it will improve your learning outcome. -
How do I get the Certified Scrum Professional-Scrum Master (CSP-SM) Certification?
To achieve the CSP-SM you need the CSM, one year of agile work experience, the A-CSM, and then you can take a CSP-SM session.

How does the progression from CSM, to A-CSM, to CSP-SM correlate to work competencies?
The CSM is the start of your journey and allows you to execute Scrum effectively. The A-CSM will help you better facilitate and grow team based Scrum, and the CSP-SM will help you as you assist your organization in the use of Scrum and agile. -
Is there a test?
No, there is no test! But, you do have to participate in the session, stay engaged, and you can't miss more than 45 minutes of class time. -

Discounts
Early-Bird, Group, and Unemployment Discounts
There are number of discounts set aside for each session for Grow-Lean Training alumni, those registering early, groups of three or more, for the unemployed, and in a limited number of cases, for those paying on their own.
Act now as there are specific number of discounted seats per each session.
We will respond to your request in 24 hours.
There are a number of rules governing discount codes, please review them.
- The Alumni Discount can be combined with the Early-Bird Discount. Other discounts are not combinable, only one can be used at a time.
- If you want to register for two sessions, register for the first and request the Alumni Discount for the second.
- Each class has a limited number of discounts.
- You must provide supporting information for Hardship and Self-Pay Discount requests.
- Grow-Lean reserves the right to audit, and/or deny a discount request.
- Honesty is expected when requesting a discount so that they can be provided to those most in need.
- The supply of discounts is limited as we often need to lock in the room setup approximately six or more weeks prior to the training.
- If you receive a discount code it will remain valid until the time limit or total count threshold is reached, whichever is first.
- Request discount codes early and use them quickly.

We appreciate our alumni and often provide discount for prior attendees of Grow-Lean Training. If you are not an alumni but are signing up for two sessions, sign up for the first and request the discount for the second. Please note that you must attend both sessions for the Alumni Discount to be applied.
A group discount is available for three or more people registering together for the session. Please make your request now. Grow-Lean will evaluate the request based on the number of attendees you are sending.
Self-Pay Discounts are worth up to $200 off of the regular price, but, for this class, the Early-Bird Discount is even better and you don't need to request it . Make sure to select registrant type of "Early-Bird" when registering and remember that the Early-Bird is available until the expiration date, or until the maximum number of discounts are claimed, whichever comes first, so register now.

A limited number of Hardship Discounts are available if you are collecting unemployment from your state of residence and can provide a copy of your most recent unemployment benefit claim.
