The Grow-Lean Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) builds on the CSPO. If you are an experienced
PO, the A-CSPO will help you grow your ability to establish an actionable vision,
validate and invalidate hypotheses, focus on outcomes over outputs, and deliver more value.
The session is interactive, experiential, disciplined, and does not use slides. Instead, we explore topics through interactive exercises that drive deep discussions and you leave ready to implement techniques the next day.
No question will be given vague treatment as your trainer uses 20 years of agile product experience to address your challenges and opportunities in a profound, but practical, way.
Sign-up today to move from managing output to improving outcomes.

There are discounts for registering early, alumni, groups, unemployed, students and veterans. Alumni Discounts
combine with everything. For unemployed / hardship a current state unemployment statement or separation letter is required.
We try to avoid cancellations and expect you to be similarly respectful; so there are fees associated with cancellations to cover a portion of costs we incur, including credit card processing.
Grow-Lean has established policies around situations where you as an attendee, or Grow-Lean as a host, must cancel or reschedule. Grow-Lean's policies are significantly more consumer-friendly than most other training providers. We do this because we realize that unforeseen things happen, but we ask that you be thoughtful about canceling late so we can continue to put our customers first.
By registering yourself or others for the session, or by being a registrant, you agree to the policies below. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Cancellation requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee.
Cancellation requests received fifteen (15) to eight (8) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee and a $125 late cancellation fee.
Cancellation requests received seven (7) or less days prior to the event will receive a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid that can be applied to any future event that the registrant will take in the next twelve months.
Reschedule requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will have no fees for the first request. Additional reschedule requests will be subject to a $125 transfer fee.
Reschedule requests received less than sixteen (16) days prior to the event will be subject to a $125 transfer fee.
We try to avoid rescheduling. If Grow-Lean needs to reschedule, all registrants will promptly receive a 100% refund. Registrants may decide to be transferred into the rescheduled event, or another upcoming event, instead of the refund if they desire.

He does all of this while actively building software, filling various roles at different times, including designing, coding, testing, PO and Scrum Master (think about that, someone who does what they teach).
David's commitment to helping others, combined with his continued work as a team member, positions him to deliver practical perspective that will help you boost your career.

In 2001, David's eBanking Team at JP Morgan Chase implemented agile with Kent Beck, the Father of Extreme Programming (XP), and perhaps also Agile, was the team coach. In addition to eBanking, David was also responsible for Online Account Opening, Insurance and Retirement Services.
David's deep experience, his high energy level, and his continued hands-on work helps David stays practical and level headed. He is able to understand your needs so you benefit from his experience.

For example, if your final fee is $1,000 and you chose 10 installments:
If you are not familiar with the term "hold" this is similar to what hotels do when you check in, to cover extra expenses you may incur including the mini bar.
The benefit to you is that you do not pay any interest or fees if all payments are on time.

The Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) builds on the CSPO and helps experienced practitioners grow their ability to establish and communicate an actionable vision, rapidly test hypotheses, work effectively with stakeholders, and manage the backlog using a host of advanced techniques.
Unlike most of the sessions offered by others, our A-CSPO is 100% live, completely interactive and slide-free. It is delivered online using the tools Mural and Mentimeter. We explore topics through exercises that drive deep discussion and you will learn from the industry’s most experienced CSP-PO Trainer, Arlen Bankston, as well as other advanced attendees. You leave ready to implement techniques the next day.
This live online workshop is based on two and a half decades of lean and agile experience by a lauded entrepreneur and presenter with deep user experience and product management experience.
The result is like a private consulting experience, just more fun.
We assesses personal situations and dynamically reorient towards creating practical paths forward for each participant. As such, to get maximum benefit and to receive the certification you should have a minimum of one year’s experience in a product role.
Be careful of the company you pick. With Grow-Lean everything is covered including the certification fees, practice exams a free class retake (within 120 days), and you receive additional discounts off of your next session, including the Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO).
There are no surprise costs when you register or accept your license and we have a user friendly transfer and cancellation policy.
At present there is no examination required to achieve the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) Certification. Taking the session earns your A-CSPO if you meet the requirements outlined below.
The advanced certification will differentiate you, but more importantly the deep learning will allow you to interview with confidence and apply advanced techniques in the work place.
The A-CSPO also allows you to pursue Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) certification, which completes the Path to CSP.
The Product Owner role is both the most difficult and most poorly understood in the annals of agility, but there are plenty of tried-and-true ways to deal with the difficulties that you face. We have years of creative problem solving ready to bring to bear on your issues and guarantee that you will walk away with some fresh new tools and ideas.
How do you deal with unplanned mid-Sprint changes?
We’ll practice several techniques from the lean and product management communities for dealing fluidly and systematically with emergency and unplanned work. We’ll also help you prepare for fixed date deliveries, ensure the team has appropriate time to deal with technical debt and process improvements, and show how to avoid both over- and under-committing within the sprint.
Does your Sprint Review fail as a true product feedback loop and put participants to sleep?
It doesn’t have to be this way. Learn some unique tricks for bringing interactivity, life and practical worth to a session that often functions as little more than a status check to turn it into a session where we align and adjust future plans. You will also learn patterns for running large-scale reviews with many interdependent teams.
There is no exam for your certification, but you can still get significant benefit from our practice quizzes as they help ensure you know the basics so your classroom experience can focus on the big picture.
If you have time prior to the session use them as a refresher. Or perhaps, during the session you notice some weak spots and review the quizzes post class to fill in the knowledge gaps.
