The Grow-Lean Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) builds on the A-CSPO to complete the Scrum Alliance Product Owner Path to CSP. Following this course you will be able to pursue Guide level certifications like the CST, CTC or CEC.
Our CSP-PO is 100% live, completely interactive and slide-free. It is delivered online using the tools Mural and Mentimeter. You will learn from the industry’s most experienced CSP-PO Trainer, Arlen Bankston, as well as other advanced attendees.
Arlen Bankston is Scrum Alliance Member 41 and was one of the first to deliver the CSPO course. His experience leading two consultancies for over 20 years, funding and building his own products, leading UX/UI work within agile teams and coaching large-scale organizational transformations means that you’ll get practical advice based on work across the public and private sectors. His extensive graphic and instructional design background also results in a uniquely entertaining and practical workshop experience. Arlen goes to great lengths to help students share with one another, a benefit unique to these most advanced classes.
This class includes a variety of custom-built tools and templates that you will find nowhere else, developed based on years of experience in product design, management, agile coaching and executive leadership.
The Role of the Product Owner in its many forms:
The theory of the role doesn't always match the reality of your authority and constraints. Learn how to make the most of your position based upon the type of business you’re in, the products or services that you helm, the life-cycle in which those products exist, your organization’s maturity and more.
Advanced stakeholder and customer engagement:
Product Owners hear a lot about “saying no” an appropriate thought given that much of their job boils down to scope management with perspective, but this is much easier said than done. Work through a variety of real-world situations that veer from the ideal and learn how you can work most effectively with stakeholders and customers in you unique context.
Launching new Scrum teams and projects:
Learn how to rapidly but thoughtfully kick off a new team or new engagement, considering how to properly align roles, create a basis for appropriate collaboration between the team and stakeholders, and communicate a compelling vision along with practical means to measure progress against it.
Scaling to larger projects:
Explore how and when to apply multiple teams against a common goal with a coherent backlog, intelligent dependency management and proper synchronization… without falling into a host of common traps.
Designing and communicating product strategy:
Practice crafting and comparing business models, creating targeted experiments, and prioritizing opportunities by value, time and economic impact.
Advanced backlog and release management:
Delve into a variety of techniques for prioritizing the backlog in tricky situations, creating long-term road-maps without sacrificing adaptability, optimizing release strategies and demonstrating return on investment for agile efforts.

We address common PO misconceptions, including:
Myth: "As a, I want to, So that" is the only format for PBIs.
Myth: You should collect and clarify customer requirements, then hand-off details to the developers.
Myth: Going live is risky so only do it rarely.
Be careful of the company you pick. With Grow-Lean everything is covered including pre-reads, the class itself, the certification, and you receive additional discounts off of your next session, such as leadership training or session in the ScrumMaster pathway.
There are no surprise costs when you register or accept your license and we have a user friendly transfer and cancellation policy.
By taking the session you earn the chance to become a Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) as long as already have the A-CSPO Certification and are able to validate at least 24 months in the role of Product Owner, or Product Owner coach, over the last five years.
You also earn the opportunity to pursue guide level certifications:
At present there are few trainers or coaches who have significant product development experience; meaning, there is an opportunity for people like if you have that experience.
The CSP-PO will differentiate you, but more importantly the deep learning will allow you to interview with confidence and apply advanced techniques in your work place.
"We know the impact that a great workshop experience can have so all of our trainers have a minimum of 18 years of agile experience and 15 years of training experience."
