Policies

Grow-Lean has policies to protect you, fellow students and Grow-Lean.

Familiarize yourself with these policies and use our Contact Us Form if you have any questions.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

Overview of Cancellation Policies

Grow-Lean has policies around situations where you as an attendee, or Grow-Lean as a host, must cancel or reschedule. Grow-Lean's policies are consumer-friendly in recognition that unforeseen things happen, but Grow-Lean asks for thoughtfulness about canceling late so Grow-Lean can continue to put their customers first.

By registering yourself or others for the session, or by being a registrant, you agree to the policies below. If you have any questions, please contact Grow-Lean.

Cancellations

Cancellation requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee.

Cancellation requests received fifteen (15) to eight (8) days prior to the event will receive a 100% refund minus a 5% credit card processing fee and a $125 late cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests received seven (7) or less days prior to the event will receive a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid that can be applied to any future event that the registrant will take in the next twelve months.

Reschedule Requests

Reschedule requests received at least sixteen (16) days prior to the event will have no fees for the first request. Additional reschedule requests will be subject to a $125 transfer fee.

Reschedule requests received less than sixteen (16) days prior to the event will be subject to a $125 transfer fee.

Grow-Lean Reschedule Events

Grow-Lean tries to avoid rescheduling. If Grow-Lean needs to reschedule, all registrants will promptly receive a 100% refund. Registrants may decide to be transferred into the rescheduled event, or another upcoming event, instead of the refund if they desire.

Grow-Lean Trainer Substitution

In the event where the original listed trainer cannot deliver the course, Grow-Lean reserves the right to substitute a trainer. This is a rare occurrence, but this policy allows Grow-Lean to deliver a course while minimizing the student impact. Trainers provided in this event will have met Grow-Lean's high quality standards to ensure registrants receive valuable training.

Session Attendance and Participation Policies

Session Policy Summary

Discounts

Options for your circumstances

Request your discount on the session (a class on date/time with a trainer) you want. If more than one discount applies explain in your comments.

You can pay in installments by choosing Splitit at checkout.

For Grow-Lean Alumni, log in or use your account email when registering, and receive an automatic discount. If you also qualify for another discount, request it, and, if your email matches, we know you are an alumni.

If you have a Visa or Mastercard credit card you can pay in monthly installments. There are no fees or interest if you pay on time! Your available credit must be enough to cover the full cost and there is a hold on your credit card for the amount that you have not paid.

For example, if your final fee is $999 and you choose three installments:

  • You would pay $333 today and have a $666 hold placed on your credit card.
  • The following month your credit card would be charged another $333 and the hold would be reduced to $333.
  • Your final payment would be $333.

If you are not familiar with the term "hold" this is similar to what hotels do when you check in, to cover extra expenses you may incur including the mini bar.

The benefit to you is that you do not pay any interest or fees if all payments are on time.

After entering your request you may email us at [email protected] or call us +1.609.975.9294 for questions.

Preparation for Session

Maximize learning by preparing your technology for the session

We use common tools for our virtual sessions. Please read on to confirm what you need for the AI for Product Owners session.

  • Computer or tablet with internet: Most participants use one device (laptop with webcam). Some prefer two devices. One for video and another for viewing shared materials.
  • Webcam: Nearly all laptops have built-in webcams. If yours doesn't, you can use your phone as a webcam.
  • Audio: Headset, earbuds, or your device's built-in microphone and speakers all work fine.
  • Zoom access: New to Zoom? Test your setup at zoom.us/test. Click "Join" and follow the prompts. Need help? See Zoom's test meeting guide.
  • A comfortable space: Find a spot where you can focus during class. Ideally with:
    • Good lighting
    • Minimal background noise
    • Limited interruptions

Don't stress about perfection! We understand that kids, pets, family members, or roommates may make appearances. It's all part of remote learning.

  • Practice with Miro: Miro is a virtual white board.
    • If you are not experienced with Miro, please prepare using the information below.
    • Because there are sometimes browser configurations that restrict use, please consider downloading the Miro client for your device at: https://miro.com/apps/.
    • Here are videos to get you started with Miro:
    • After the class we provide you an electronic copy of the completed board which captures your classroom experience.

AI for Product Owners

The world of Product Owners is changing dramatically - and quickly - in the age of AI. In this half-day, live, hands-on workshop you'll learn to leverage artificial intelligence to hone and accelerate your Product Owner work. We'll introduce valuable generative AI tools to fast-track your product discovery, product backlog refinement, as well as developing and testing your most critical product assumptions.

This class is ideal for Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and others who want to put generative AI to work in an agile environment. Earn the non-expiring Scrum Alliance AI for Product Owners (AIPO) micro credential. No exam.

Use generative AI to enhance your effectiveness, while keeping human judgment intact.

Key Details

AI for Product Owners

Generative AI radically changes how Product Owners discover, describe, and order work. In four practical hours, learn how to use AI as a co-pilot for the time-consuming parts of the role, such as drafting personas, refining stories, ordering the backlog; while keeping strategy, prioritization, and stakeholder judgment firmly in human hands.

This is a hands-on workshop. You bring a real product or backlog. You leave with AI-augmented artifacts you can use the next day, a reusable Custom GPT tailored to your context, and a working prompt library for ongoing PO work.

Stay for the 45-minute bonus session after the core workshop, an extended prompt lab on your real backlog, with peer review and trainer coaching. The four-hour core earns the credential; the bonus 45 minutes is where you apply it to your own product.

Live and instructor-led. No exam. Earn a non-expiring Scrum Alliance AI for Product Owners microcredential and claim SEUs.

Quick Facts

Who Should Attend?

Who Should Attend?

Product Owners & Product Managers

Whose days fill up with backlog refinement, persona work, and story writing. Use AI to compress the busywork so you can spend more time on outcomes, prioritization, and customers.

Business Analysts

Who elicit, document, and translate requirements. Apply prompt engineering to get sharper requirements, better acceptance criteria, and faster stakeholder alignment.

Engineering & Delivery Leads

Who partner closely with POs and want to see what AI can (and cannot) do on the product side, so you can shape how your teams adopt it.

Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches

Who need to coach their Product Owners to leverage AI to further improve and accelerate their work.

Agenda

Eight practice-driven sections in the four-hour core, plus a 45-minute bonus lab.
Every section includes a hands-on activity using AI on a real PO task.

1
AI Tools a PO Actually Uses
  • Survey the categories of generative AI a PO touches in a typical week.
  • Match the right kind of tool to the right kind of PO task.
  • Decide what to keep human, what to delegate to AI, and what to do together.
2
Prompt Engineering for Product Owners
  • Learn the prompt patterns that move a draft from generic to product-specific.
  • Use role, context, examples, and constraints to control AI output.
  • Iterate prompts the same way you iterate stories: small steps, fast feedback.
3
Build a Custom PO Assistant
  • Build along with the trainer to assemble a Custom GPT (or equivalent) tuned to your product, voice, and Definition of Ready.
  • Load it with your context: positioning, personas, vocabulary, and quality bars.
  • Walk away with a reusable assistant your team can extend.
4
AI for Product Discovery and Strategy
  • Draft and stress-test positioning statements, personas, and lean canvases with AI as a critique partner.
  • Use AI to surface assumptions you might not see on your own.
  • Keep strategy decisions human; learn where the AI's confidence is least trustworthy.
5
AI for User Stories and Backlog Items
  • Generate, split, and refine stories, not just in "As a… I want to…" form.
  • Draft acceptance criteria and Given/When/Then scenarios that hold up under review.
  • Catch ambiguity, missing edge cases, and contradictions earlier.
6
AI Across the Scrum Events
  • Use AI to prepare for refinement, planning, review, and retrospective without replacing the conversation.
  • Summarize discussions, draft follow-ups, and capture decisions cleanly.
  • Find the line between helpful automation and skipping the work that matters.
7
AI for Backlog Ordering and Forecasting
  • Use AI to compare ordering options against value, risk, learning, and dependency.
  • Draft lightweight forecasts and roadmap narratives stakeholders can read.
  • Recognize when AI is pattern-matching past data instead of reasoning about the future.
8
Risk, Bias, and Responsible Use
  • Spot hallucinations, bias, and false confidence before they reach the team.
  • Apply practical guardrails for data privacy, IP, and customer information.
  • Build a personal checklist for what you will and will not put through AI.

+ 45 MIN BONUS
In the bonus time, use AI to simulate, pre-test, and pre-validate your assumptions; apply prompts to real backlog items; and get peer review and trainer coaching on your prompts and outputs.

1
Sign up early
Create your account before class so you don't miss the hands-on lab.
2
A free account is fine
Even if you stay on the free plan, please set up an account before class so we can walk through configuring it together.

Upgrade if you hit limits
Free plans keep shrinking — tighter usage caps and fewer features over time. If you get throttled during the lab, upgrade for a single month and downgrade after.

What Sets This Apart

A live Product Owner workshop driven by AI.

Not an AI tutorial dressed up as a Product Owner course.
Practical & Real
A four-hour live workshop taught by an actively practicing Product Owner, with a 45-minute bonus session built in for working AI against your real backlog. The difference shows up in the prompts you write, the outputs you keep, and the judgment calls you make about when AI helps and when it quietly misleads you.
Your Product Context
You bring a real product or backlog. You leave with AI-augmented artifacts for that product, including positioning, personas, refined stories, and ordering rationale, plus a Custom GPT tuned to your context that you can keep using after class.
Product Judgment First
Product Owner experience comes first, AI second. Prompt patterns are only as good as the product judgment behind them, and this session is built around strategy, prioritization, stakeholders, customers, and backlog decisions rather than generic AI examples.

Earning Your Certification

The Scrum Alliance AI for Product Owners microcredential

AI for Product Owners Logo

There is no examination required to earn the AI for Product Owners microcredential. Participating in the live session earns the credential. Grow-Lean covers the credentialing fee.

The AI for Product Owners badge does not expire and pairs naturally with your CSPO, A-CSPO, or CSP-PO credentials by signalling that you've moved beyond the certification basics into applied, AI-augmented product practice.

Beyond the badge, the deeper benefit is leaving with a working AI toolkit you can use Monday morning: a Custom GPT, a prompt library, and AI-augmented artifacts for your real product.
